The Opportunity

We’re looking for experienced corporate attorneys to apply their legal expertise to complex transactional and commercial scenarios used to evaluate and improve advanced AI systems.

You’ll work with sophisticated legal materials involving mergers and acquisitions, private equity, capital markets, corporate law, and commercial litigation. The role combines substantive legal analysis with careful review, drafting, annotation, and evaluation of legal reasoning.

This is an opportunity for practicing attorneys who enjoy analyzing complex legal questions, identifying subtle issues, and explaining the reasoning behind their conclusions.

No prior AI experience is required. Your legal judgment and subject-matter expertise are what matter most.

What You’ll Do

• Analyze complex legal scenarios involving mergers and acquisitions, private equity, capital markets, corporate law, and commercial litigation.

• Draft, review, and annotate legal documents with a high degree of accuracy and attention to legal nuance.

• Evaluate transactional and litigation materials and identify the facts, issues, arguments, and legal considerations that matter.

• Analyze corporate-law questions and provide well-reasoned conclusions grounded in applicable legal principles and professional practice.

• Review legal materials for inconsistencies, ambiguities, missing context, and potential sources of misinterpretation.

• Translate complex legal reasoning into structured, precise explanations that can be evaluated systematically.

• Collaborate with technical specialists and other subject-matter experts on legal reasoning and data-quality requirements.

• Evaluate AI-generated legal outputs for accuracy, completeness, reasoning quality, and real-world applicability.

• Provide detailed feedback when an output misses legal nuance, misinterprets facts, overlooks relevant issues, or reaches an unsupported conclusion.

• Maintain a consistently high standard of accuracy across complex legal materials.

What We’re Looking For

• J.D. or equivalent law degree from an accredited institution.

• Active bar membership or an applicable international equivalent.

• 3+ years of professional legal practice.

• Substantive experience in one or more of the following:

  • Mergers & Acquisitions

  • Corporate Law

  • Private Equity

  • Capital Markets

  • Commercial Litigation

• Strong experience reviewing, drafting, or analyzing transactional or litigation documents.

• Exceptional attention to detail and legal research and analysis skills.

• Ability to synthesize large amounts of complex legal information into clear, precise conclusions.

• Strong understanding of legal reasoning and the ability to distinguish material issues from peripheral information.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to explain sophisticated legal concepts to both legal and non-legal audiences.

• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a remote environment.

What Will Set You Apart

• Experience handling complex M&A transactions, private equity matters, capital markets work, or sophisticated commercial disputes.

• Experience with transactional documentation, including purchase agreements, financing documents, disclosure schedules, or related materials.

• Experience evaluating complex litigation records and identifying key factual and legal issues.

• Background in computer science, technology, data, or another technical discipline.

• Previous experience with AI evaluation, legal technology, data annotation, or structured expert-review projects.

• Experience translating professional judgment into structured evaluation criteria or decision frameworks.

• Strong interest in the intersection of law, technology, and AI.

Compensation & Engagement

• $140–$350/hour.

• Annual compensation equivalent: $291,200–$728,000 based on a 40-hour workweek.

• Contract engagement.

• Remote work.
