About the Role

We’re looking for experienced Human Intelligence Collectors, investigators, and professional interviewers who are skilled at getting beyond surface-level answers and accurately assessing what they hear and observe.

In this role, you’ll conduct or evaluate structured interviews and elicitation sessions, build rapport with participants, recognize subtle verbal and behavioral signals, and assess the reliability and consistency of the information provided.

You’ll also document your observations and reasoning so that another professional can understand how you reached your conclusions.

No previous AI experience is required. This opportunity is designed for professionals who already have strong interviewing, investigative, intelligence, or related experience and want to apply those skills in a new setting.

What You’ll Do

• Conduct or assess structured interviews and elicitation sessions.

• Build rapport and create an environment that encourages participants to communicate openly.

• Adapt your questioning based on responses, tone, pacing, hesitation, and other observable cues.

• Identify inconsistencies, evasiveness, uncertainty, and other factors that may affect the reliability of information.

• Assess the confidence and reliability of information gathered during each interaction.

• Recognize emotional and motivational factors that may influence how someone responds.

• Explain the reasoning behind your observations rather than relying on intuition alone.

• Document interviews and assessments clearly and objectively.

• Review and score sessions using established evaluation criteria.

• Apply consistent judgment across different people, scenarios, and cases.

What We’re Looking For

You’ll be a strong fit if you have several years of experience where interviewing, questioning, observation, and careful assessment were central to your work.

Relevant backgrounds may include:

• Human intelligence or intelligence collection

• Military HUMINT

• Law enforcement or investigative interviewing

• Professional investigations

• Interview-intensive security or compliance roles

• Skilled negotiation

• Other professional environments requiring careful questioning and assessment

You should be comfortable reading subtle changes in communication, distinguishing reliable information from uncertainty or inconsistency, and explaining your conclusions clearly in writing.

Preferred Experience

• 3–5+ years of professional interviewing, intelligence elicitation, investigation, or investigative questioning.

• Training in established interviewing approaches such as the PEACE model, cognitive interviewing, or similar methodologies.

• Strong ability to interpret tone, pacing, hesitation, gestures, and other verbal or nonverbal signals.

• Experience working with people from different backgrounds or through interpreters.

• Experience producing investigative reports, after-action assessments, interview summaries, or similar documentation.

• Familiarity with structured evaluation, annotation, or quality-review processes.

Strong performance in this role means being able to listen carefully, notice meaningful details, remain objective, and explain your assessment in a way that is clear and defensible.

You should be able to separate what you directly observed from your interpretation, recognize uncertainty when it exists, and apply the same standard of judgment consistently across different interactions.

Compensation & Engagement

• Annual compensation equivalent: $52,000–$135,200 based on a 40-hour workweek.

• Minimum commitment: approximately 15 hours per week.
