About the Role

We are seeking experienced Purchasing Agents and procurement professionals to contribute domain expertise to projects focused on improving AI systems in procurement.

You will design realistic procurement scenarios, analyze supplier and bid information, develop sourcing recommendations, and create evaluation criteria that reflect how experienced procurement professionals make decisions in complex purchasing environments.

No prior AI experience is required. Your procurement expertise and ability to apply sound commercial judgment are the primary qualifications.

What You’ll Do

• Design expert-level procurement tasks based on real-world purchasing complexity, including RFP development, bid evaluation, supplier scoring, and contract negotiation scenarios.

• Create and format realistic procurement materials such as supplier quotations, specifications, pricing tables, and technical documentation.

• Work with procurement information presented in inconsistent formats and identify the details required for accurate supplier comparisons.

• Develop defensible sourcing recommendations supported by clear commercial and procurement reasoning.

• Build detailed grading rubrics for evaluating AI performance in areas such as vendor comparison, bid analysis, supplier evaluation, and contract reasoning.

• Create scenarios that reflect procurement challenges across specialized categories, including IT, industrial products and services, and professional services.

• Clearly document procurement requirements, decision criteria, evaluation standards, and the rationale behind recommended actions.

• Communicate complex procurement concepts and decision-making processes clearly in written and verbal formats.

• Collaborate with project teams to review, refine, and validate procurement tasks and evaluation rubrics for accuracy and relevance.

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional experience in corporate or public-sector procurement.

• Direct experience with supplier analysis, bid evaluation matrices, and contract negotiation.

• Strong ability to analyze non-standardized vendor submissions and develop detailed comparison matrices.

• Practical understanding of supplier evaluation methodologies and procurement best practices.

• Experience working with complex procurement requirements and commercial documentation.

• Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to justify sourcing recommendations.

• Excellent written English and the ability to produce clear, structured procurement documentation.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy across complex procurement scenarios.

• Ability to work independently and communicate procurement reasoning clearly in a remote environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Deep category expertise in IT, industrial, or professional-services procurement.

• Experience developing or evaluating complex procurement scenarios, assessments, benchmarks, or structured evaluation frameworks.

• Knowledge of relevant procurement regulatory frameworks and compliance considerations.

• Experience working with technical specifications, commercial proposals, pricing models, or detailed supplier documentation.

• Experience translating real-world procurement judgment into objective evaluation criteria.
