About the Role

This remote contract opportunity is for professionals with expertise in finance, economics, business analytics, operations or related quantitative fields who can interpret complex financial and operational visualizations.

You will use your domain knowledge and quantitative reasoning skills to create challenging, objectively answerable tasks based on charts and data visualizations. Assignments may require calculations, comparisons, trend analysis, interpolation and deeper graphical reasoning rather than simple visual observations.

No prior AI or machine-learning experience is required. The primary requirement is strong domain expertise combined with the ability to explain analytical reasoning clearly and accurately.

What You'll Do

• Interpret complex financial and operational charts using relevant professional knowledge and terminology

• Analyze visualizations such as candlestick charts, yield curves, drawdown charts, market-volume charts, control charts, Pareto charts, process flows and capacity or throughput charts

• Design clear, objective questions based on information-rich visualizations

• Create multi-step analytical tasks requiring quantitative reasoning beyond surface-level chart interpretation

• Develop questions involving calculations, comparisons, trend analysis and interpolation

• Provide precise answers with detailed written explanations and explicit analytical steps

• Apply accurate financial, economic and operational terminology throughout all tasks and solutions

• Correctly reference units, scales, timeframes, categories, axes, legends and annotations

• Review tasks to eliminate ambiguity, subjectivity and unsupported conclusions

• Incorporate reviewer feedback and maintain consistency across assignments

• Collaborate remotely through written and verbal communication

• Produce objectively verifiable tasks and solutions suitable for AI training and evaluation

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in Finance, Economics, Business Analytics, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management or a related quantitative discipline

• At least 2 years of professional, academic or research experience involving financial market data, risk metrics, operational performance data or related charts

• Strong ability to interpret complex financial and operational visualizations

• Advanced understanding of chart features including axes, units, legends, scales and annotations

• Strong quantitative reasoning and analytical skills

• Ability to design clear, unambiguous and objectively answerable questions

• Ability to explain analytical processes and calculations clearly in written and spoken English

• Strong attention to detail and technical accuracy

• Comfortable working independently and collaborating remotely with technical or research teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree or professional specialization in a relevant discipline

• Experience with financial reporting or market analysis

• Experience with operational performance, process analysis or quality assessment

• Experience creating technical documentation or analytical reports

• Experience designing assessments, benchmark questions or structured analytical tasks

• Background creating data-annotation tasks or evaluation materials

• Previous experience contributing to finance, operations, data science or AI-related projects

• Bilingual proficiency in English and a second language relevant to finance or operations

Compensation & Engagement

• Hourly rate: $25–$50/hour

• Annual compensation equivalent: $52,000–$104,000 based on 40 hours per week, 52 weeks per year

• Actual earnings depend on hours worked and available project assignments
