About the Role

This contract opportunity is for professionals with strong design judgment and experience creating or evaluating polished business deliverables.

You’ll review AI-generated knowledge-work materials such as presentations, documents, spreadsheets, and PDFs, compare alternative versions, and refine the strongest output into a high-quality reference example. The work combines visual design judgment, business context, content quality, and attention to detail.

The goal is to help improve how AI systems produce polished, professional, client-ready business materials.

What You’ll Do

• Compare AI-generated versions of the same business deliverable and evaluate them across layout, spacing, typography, color, domain realism, and overall polish.

• Identify subtle visual and structural inconsistencies, including alignment issues, uneven component sizing, excessive or ineffective whitespace, and inconsistent margins.

• Select the strongest version of a deliverable and refine it to a high-quality reference standard.

• Improve the presentation of content while preserving the underlying business purpose and meaning.

• Provide clear, evidence-based justifications for evaluations, referencing specific slides, cells, tables, sections, or other elements and explaining their impact on the reader.

• Apply professional design judgment to realistic corporate materials.

• Evaluate both what a deliverable communicates and how effectively it presents that information.

Requirements

• Professional background in design, marketing communications, corporate communications, management consulting, investment banking, agency work, or another knowledge-work discipline involving business deliverables.

• Strong visual judgment and ability to recognize subtle inconsistencies in business presentations and documents.

• Strong understanding of layout, spacing, typography, color, alignment, hierarchy, and overall presentation quality.

• Ability to distinguish between merely functional work and polished, professional business communication.

• Ability to clearly articulate design and content judgments in writing and support evaluations with specific evidence.

• Strong attention to detail.

• Desktop versions of Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel installed on your computer.

• Comfortable working with native Microsoft Office file formats where detailed formatting control is required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience creating professional presentations, reports, spreadsheets, or other client-facing business materials.

• Experience working on corporate, consulting, financial, marketing, or executive-level deliverables.

• Experience building PowerPoint decks or other presentation materials independently.

• Strong portfolio of professional business or presentation work.

Who Should Apply

This role is suited to professionals who care about both substance and presentation. You should be able to look at a business deliverable and quickly identify what feels inconsistent, unfinished, or visually ineffective, while also understanding whether the material is realistic and appropriate for its intended audience.

You should be comfortable making detailed judgments, explaining the reasoning behind them, and directly improving business documents rather than simply reviewing them.

Screening & Assessment

Applicants will first submit a resume and then complete a Consultant calibration assessment lasting approximately 25–30 minutes. The assessment is untimed and includes:

1. Preference labelling — Evaluate an Excel workbook, PowerPoint presentation, and Word document using the project's quality scale and provide evidence-based justifications for each score.

2. Tooling & portfolio — Confirm access to the desktop versions of PowerPoint, Word, and Excel. Applicants may optionally submit 1–2 examples of slide decks they have created.

All assessment questions are required except the portfolio submission, which is optional.

The assessment is unpaid and forms part of the application process. The stated hourly rate applies only to project work after onboarding.

Compensation & Engagement

• Hourly rate: $80–$100/hour

• Annual compensation equivalent: $166,400–$208,000

• Annual equivalent is calculated at 40 hours per week × 52 weeks per year and is provided for comparison.

• Expected project workload is approximately 10 hours per week.

• Actual earnings will depend on hours worked and project availability.

Contract & Payment Terms

• Projects may be extended, shortened, or concluded early based on project requirements and performance.

• Work will not require access to confidential or proprietary information belonging to an employer, client, or institution.

• Weekly payments through Stripe or Wise based on services rendered.
